OK. This seems like the quintessential sermon title of a “captain-obvious” pastor who thinks he’s clever, but isn’t really. You already know the drill: the pastor is going to ask the congregation to rate Jesus on how well he has done and is doing his job as savior. Everyone will give him high marks, shout hallelujah and go home to lunch and fitful nap.
The problem is, most of the people who would give him high marks in a controlled, Christian environment give Jesus a completely different grade when they’re no longer on holy ground. Most people give Jesus an F as savior. They don’t believe he’s up to the job. You probably don’t either. Seriously.
