Because Glendale City Church has been inundated with great speakers, I’ve had more preaching downtime the last three months than any time previously as a pastor. I love the process of preaching, but am grateful that I have gifted colleagues with diverse perspectives that help enrich our congregation.
I also had the opportunity to travel to Manhattan at the beginning of October to speak for the Metro New York chapter of Adventist Forum. My thanks to Ron Lawson and his team for the invitation.
The big news around City Church is that we’re preparing to launch our online campus to our church members in the next few weeks and then to the public in January. Now anyone who wants to worship with our congregation can, whether they live locally or on the other side of the world. You’ll also be able to have studies, discussions and opportunities for interpersonal connection on our new campus. It’s an exciting step for us and one that I hope will be beneficial to some of those who follow this blog.
I have been able to speak at my home church a little bit, and a couple recent podcasts can now be heard here
- October 12: Greater Love
- November 2: The Abode of the Dead
