September 6, 2014 Sermon 1 of 7
The Glendale City Church, where I am privileged to serve as pastor, is filled with amazing people and has a unique position in our city and our denomination. Because of our unique position, I’m going to ask some questions over the next few weeks. How can we be the church? How can we have more than the “go to church” mentality that emphasizes ideas that only serve our spiritual needs? What practices and priorities can shift us towards creating safer community? What can we do to develop a more compassionate presence in Glendale and online? How can we pursue a deeper individual and communal spirituality?
